In most cases this is happening on jumps and is related to the mutlitouch issue (see ?Help/Known issues/Can't press multiple buttons)

For example my SG4 Mini has trouble detecting two fingers on the same line, but only on the edge of the screen. It only happens if you hit both fingers within 3 mm of the left/right edge of the screen. From the user feedback I'm getting this is happening on all Samsung devices.
