!! New BeatX Version !! (1 Nov 2022 Update)

Please be patient! If you still have V 2.4.xxx and it's working - DO NOT UPDATE (disable automatic updates for BEATX)
Google announced that:
Starting November 1, 2022, apps that don't target an API level
within 2 years of the latest Android release won't be available to new
users with devices running Android versions newer than your app’s target
API level. This means that new users won't be able to discover or
install your app on Google Play if your app is targeting API 29 and below
Due to the fact that it was previously not possible to build BeatX with a higher API version i started to refactor the code to reflect changes so i could keep this game @ playstore...
The only other option would be BeatX gone from Google Play Store, not able to make Purchases, Leaderboards e.t.c.
This is very complicated!
Some things were lost for good, part of the functionality will take some more time to finish - Please be patient!
Functionality lost:
- Uservoice feedback forum directly in game - you can still use webbrowser version to do the same thing.
- Support for devices with API < 19 (Android 4.4 Kitkat is now the lowest android supported - there is no way around this)
Functionality not yet ported (will come in next release < 12hrs):
- Leaderboards
- Zip unpack after file download notification
TODO:
- BeatX download notifications and - we could probably live without this feature (accessing download folder)
Fixed stuff previously not working:
- Gamepad support on higher versions of Android
- Full screen bugs on
higher versions of Android
- Read access to SD card for
higher versions of Android
EXPECT ISSUES, BUGS but also IMPROVEMENTS and FIXES which were previously not possible (i was not able to push any updates to store)
