Custom Judgement Font
You would be able to change the judgement font from something like "Marvelous" to "Fantastic", & also change what they look like
3 votesSorry, the judges are kinda “trademark”. This is because people are uploading the videos to youtube and since they are able to mod the noteskin there would just be no information about that this is not Stepmania :)

Mod scripting for changing mods mid-song
Mod scripting allows you to code in what mods you want to change at any point in the song. It also allows for movement of the arrows from their set location.

Music speed Modifier
Speed option for the songs to be faster or slower from 0.5 to 2.0. This also covers pitch change and helps practice on tough songs and strengthen easier ones.
2 votesSpeedup and slowdown of music is possible on android but given the unpredictable nature of the android subsystem i would like to avoid this. It can seriously mess up the timing of arrows on some devices.
Unless i can guarantee that a feature will work on 99% of devices i can’t put the feature in game (bad ratings comming) -
Simple Mod
This should help with devices like mine without multi touch and removes complicated parts of songs like mines, hands, yellow/purple notes etc and replaces them with simplified red and blue notes that don't play any faster then 1/4 beats at any time.

Support for a custom menu theme
(bad english ahead) I think if in BeatX was a theme music, the experience will feels like an actual DDR game.
8 votesThere is a default theme, Drive by Alex Beroza.. but after you play a song it will be set as a theme for the menu (even after BeatX restart). This way you kinda know which song you played last time + you always get a different, interesting theme song.

Have the tapbox become fullscreen for the best usage rather than a portion
Makes playing the game more intuitive instead of being limited to a certain amount of space

A song maker/editor
A song maker/editor like stepmania on pc, to create your own songs and play it.I really want it :)
4 votesThis is out of the scope of this project.
With just a hand of really good step chart makers in the world i just don’t see the target audience for this.You can always use Stepmania song editor or use DDReam Studio for PC and have a really good experience (unlike the small screen / timming issues on Android)

Show info for a song
Show all difficulties, high scores locally and online, show a groove radar, and if you want to, with a new clean IU on one screen

Add more modifier options
Speed Modifiers: Add 1.25-3.75 in .25 increments. Arrow Modifiers: Add boost, brake and wave options for arrows. Appearance Modifiers: Add hidden, sudden, stealth, hidden+, sudden+, hidden+ & sudden+ options for how arrows should appear. Turn Modifiers: Add mirror (180°), left(90° to the left), right(90° to the right) options for the orientation of the steps (Left & right options are disabled during doubles). Cut Modifiers: Add ON1(Shows only the red arrows)& ON2(Shows only the red & blue arrows) options for the stepchart pattern. Add a option to turn off freeze arrows and jumps.

Counting jumps as multiple combo is the way the Stepmania works. In order keep the scoring simple i don’t want to make an option for this.
Why is this a problem for you?

You can use landscape option.
I won’t do automatic rotation because it would mess up the timing. Also it is not very convenient if you are traveling as it rotates by accident -
Add ability to toggle a clock on/off on screen.
Make it an option to show the current time somewhere everywhere.
Browsing through folders, browsing through songs, while playing songs, ect...Would be especially useful while playing a song so I can just glance over to a point on the screen to see the time instead of trying to swipe down to check the time and potentially miss notes.

Manual Fix Buttton for songs
Ok, so sometimes a video connected to the song doesnt play or the song doesnt display the banner because its not labeled properly.
So how about add a button next to settings that allows us to manually fix them?
You would find the problem song, click the button and it would display the contents of the folder the song is in, then the person would be able to click the video and "Set as Video", or find the banner and "set as Banner", or if the song is missing the background image the person could select the proper file and…

i’m trying to make the support for the sm reader as good as possible so it works at least as good as in stepmania. If you find any songs that are not loading the backgrounds/banners send an email to beatx@maniacs.sk so i can patch the file loader.
In some cases the names are so messed up that it won’t find the proper files. But that is very rare based on the stats i get from users and also the files mostly wont work in stepmania. I don’t want to maintain a code for some creators that just ignore the file specs.

Have songs show stats
I would like it while browsing for a song, that it would show stats about the song.
Like show how many taps, doubles, hands, quads, rolls, and holds are within the song for the difficulty selected.

Remove high score beat delay
When you start a song, before any arrows fall, at the top it reads the high score you have to beat, proceeding only after about 3 seconds for gameplay. I want to suggest at least an option to remove this within the settings menu. -Kageki
